Limited Lifetime Warranty Policy

Applies to Memory Products (DRAM Modules)

1. Warranty Coverage

OLOy Memory (“OLOy”) warrants to the original end-user purchaser that its memory products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for the duration of the applicable warranty period.

If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the warranty period, the Company will, at its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law:

  • Repair the product using new or refurbished parts; or
  • Replace the product with an equivalent or higher-performance product.

2. Warranty Period

Limited Lifetime Warranty:

This warranty applies for the lifetime of the product, defined as the period during which the product is manufactured and supported by the Company. This is not the lifetime of the purchaser.

If the product has been discontinued, the Company reserves the right to replace it with a functionally equivalent product of equal or greater value.

Commencement:

  • Date of purchase (with valid proof of purchase); or
  • Date of manufacture based on serial number, at the Company’s discretion.

3. Eligibility

This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Warranty coverage applies only to products purchased through authorized distributors or resellers.

4. Warranty Service (RMA)

  • Customers should first contact technical support for troubleshooting.
  • If applicable, contact the original point of purchase within the return period.
  • For manufacturer service, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) is required.

To initiate an RMA, customers must provide:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Product serial number
  • Description of the defect

5. Replacement Policy

Replacement products may be new or refurbished and are warranted to be free from defects. The Company does not guarantee that replacement products will be identical in model, but they will meet or exceed original specifications.

6. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:

  • Misuse, abuse, or improper handling
  • Operation outside published specifications (including overclocking)
  • Unauthorized modification or repair
  • Physical damage or liquid exposure
  • Removal or alteration of labels or serial numbers
  • Improper installation or electrostatic discharge (ESD)
  • External causes such as fire, flood, or power surges
  • Use of unauthorized or counterfeit products

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

The total liability of the Company shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

8. Consumer Rights (EU/Local Law)

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws. Consumers in the European Union may have additional rights under applicable national legislation, including rights relating to non-conforming goods.

9. Warranty After Service

Any repaired or replaced product will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or for a minimum of thirty (30) days from the date of replacement, whichever is longer.

10. Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for shipping products to the service center unless otherwise required by law.
  • The Company will cover return shipping costs after repair or replacement.

11. Governing Law

This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Taiwan, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. General Provisions

  • The Company reserves the right to amend this warranty policy at any time.
  • If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
